The Scoop

Hello fishing friends!  This will be our sixth annual Who’s Your Daddy Bass Fest on West Point Lake.  The tournament will launch from Pyne Park at safelight and weigh in at 3:00pm Georgia time.  We’re excited about his crowd of fearsome anglers, and it will be interesting to see who is crowned champion by the end of the day.  Though not required to fish but to help with planning, If you plan to fish, please RSVP by filling out the webform below.

Entry fee:

$85 per team, optional Big Fish pot for any team that wishes to add $10

Teams:

Can be made up of one, two, or three anglers

Payout:

  • 1st place pays 75% of tournament pot
  • 2nd place pays 25% of tournament pot

Big fish win’s:

$10 times the number of teams entered into the big fish pot

Rules

  • All fish weighed in must be caught during the tournament hours by an angler fishing with a rod and reel
  • There may be no more than six fish in any team’s boat at any given time during the tournament.
  • All applicable local fishing and boating regulations apply
  • Life Jackets must be worn when big motor is running
  • Live bait, harpoons, and dynamite are not allowed
  • Late penalty- must be at the boat ramp area and not fishing by weigh in time (4:00p.m. Eastern Standard time).  There will be a 1/2lb penalty per minute late
  • Dead fish penalty of 4oz or .25 on scales per dead fish
  • Any short fish weighed in will be thrown out along with your largest fish
  • Each team may weigh in up to five fish
    • the largest sack takes first place
  • Boat launch order will be drawn randomly before the tournament
  • Must check-in with tournament facilitator before blast-off, which is at safelight
  • Tournament facilitator has right to make decisions in his sole discretion concerning allowing teams to enter, tournament rules, tournament issues, and winner decisions should a tie arise.

Agenda

  1. {5:00am EST – 6:00am} Registration, live well check, and drawing of random boat number
  2. {15 minutes before safe light} Prayer followed by partial review of tournament rules over megaphone
  3. {5 minutes before safe light} Boats will leave the canal and enter the main river for launch
  4. {safe light} Boats launched in fleets of five
  5. {2:00pm} Weigh-in
